Rookie Kevin Johnson gets first NFL INT

Kevin Johnson picked up the first interception of his NFL career in front of a home crowd at NRG Stadium.

Players congratulated him on the big play, but Johnson was more happy about the 20-6 outcome of the game.

"My teammates have been showing me a lot of love and I have been enjoying it," Johnson said after the game. I am happier that we got the win more than the interception.

The Texans rookie cornerback picked off Zach Mettenberger's pass, intended for Dorial Green-Beckham, at the Houston 31-yard line and returned 22 yards. Johnson's takeaway, was the team's second of the day and occurred at the start of the fourth quarter against the Titans.

"I am going to keep that thing," Johnson said when asked about the interception ball.

Johnson replaced an injured Kareem Jackson in the starting lineup and also added six tackles (five solo), two tackles for loss, and one pass defensed in the win. Johnson, drafted in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, started his fourth career game on Sunday.
