Roster shakeup, and C.J. Stroud helps out | Daily Brew

The Texans have 53-man roster. But it will likely change again in the next day or so.

Houston, and the rest of the NFL cut their squads yesterday from 90 to 53 players.

But with all those cuts and waivers, hundreds of players are now on the market. Historically, the Texans have added one or two or a few of those available players in the days after the final cuts.

We'll see if that happens again today and tomorrow.

But first, here are the 53 who made the team initially.

Jonathan Alexander of the Houston Chronicle has more on yesterday's moves, and you can read about them here.

Alexander also had "5 Thoughts" on the Texans cutdown day.

Quarterback C.J. Stroud continues to great things for people in need. Here's a terrific tale about him helping out a local family affected by Hurricane Beryl.
