Seantrel Henderson to undergo season-ending surgery

Seantrel Henderson will undergo season-ending surgery on Tuesday for "a significant ankle injury," according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

The Texans starting right tackle suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game at New England and did not return. Second-year offensive lineman Julién Davenport took over for Henderson while rookie Martinas Rankin entered the game at left tackle. Houston will now explore additional options for filling the roster spot left once Henderson goes on injured reserve, O'Brien said.

Henderson signed with the Texans in March during free agency after spending four seasons with the Buffalo Bills.
