Head coach Gary Kubiak announced that cornerback Kareem Jackson (chest), linebacker Joe Mays (oblique, knee) and punter Shane Lechler (flu) will all be gametime decisions Sunday against Oakland.
Additionally, tight end Ryan Griffin (concussion) and cornerback Elbert Mack (hamstring/groin) will not play versus the Raiders.
"The biggest challenge right now is we've got physical challenges, new faces and trying to get guys ready to play quickly and trying to rest some of these guys that have played every dang snap throughout the course of the year," Kubiak said.
Even though Lechler is listed as questionable, Kubiak is confident the 14-year pro will be able to punt
on Sunday. Lechler was released from the hospital this morning after a nasty bout with the flu.
"He knows what he's doing," Kubiak said. "I don't have any doubt that he'll be ready to play."
Jackson and Mays are listed as questionable, also. Despite all the uncertainty, healthwise, Kubiak liked what he's seen from his club.
"Our guys great," Kubiak said. "Our guys are focused. They work. They're all in to what they're doing. I'm not just saying that. Since I've been here, I've never had to battle that. We've got good people doing their job, working hard, trying to find a way to work through it."
