Sizing up the Detroit Lions | Daily Brew

We made it.

Friday is here, and the weekend gets going.

The Texans and Lions will mix it up on Sunday Night Football at NRG Stadium, and it's another huge matchup for the home team.

Team Analyst/Radio Sideline Reporter John Harris gives you the ins and outs of an excellent Detroit squad coming to town, in 'Know Your Foe'.

Speaking of the Lions, it's pretty remarkable to think about where they were the last time Houston faced them, and where they are now. On Thanksgiving Day of 2020, the Texans thrashed Detroit at Ford Field, 41-25. Both teams walked off the field that day with 4-7 records, and it was the final win of what was a rotten season for Houston. The Lions would muster just one more victory, and each franchise would hire new head coaches that January. Dan Campbell was the choice in the Motor City, and he's consistently taken them to new heights, each season since. He and some other Lions are impressed with what Texans Head Coach DeMeco Ryans and company are building here in H-Town.
