Starter at QB undecided for Texans' 2013 finale

Who starts at quarterback is a big question mark for the Texans as they head into the season finale at Tennessee.

Case Keenum's right thumb was in a splint all last week as well as on Sunday.

Matt Schaub struggled in the loss to the Broncos.

T.J. Yates hasn't seen game action since Week 6.

"We're going to look at all of that and see what the situation is for sure as far as injuries are concerned," interim head coach Wade Phillips said Monday. "I think that's what we'll do."

Phillips said Keenum's status is still a bit cloudy for the Week 17 contest against the Titans. The second-year signal caller sprained his thumb in the Week 15 loss at Indianapolis.

"We will practice tomorrow and we will see where Case is," Phillips said. "We don't know yet. He's been rehabbing and been in a splint for a whole week, so we'll see how he is."

Schaub completed 18-of-37 passes for 176 yards against Denver, throwing a pair of interceptions and getting sacked on back-to-back plays in the third quarter. He finished with a quarterback rating of 48.9.
