Texans allocate Symons


HOUSTON - The Houston Texans announced today that they have allocated QB B.J. Symons to NFL Europe.

Symons was placed on the Reserve/Injured list on Dec. 1, 2004. He was selected by the Texans in the seventh round (248th overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft out of Texas Tech. Symons was honored with the 2003 Sammy Baugh Award, given annually to the nation's top passer. He started for the first time as a senior and set NCAA single-season records for passing yards (5,833), most games with 400 yards in total offense (9), most yards in total offense (5,976), most passing yards per game (448.79), and most yards in total offense per game (459.69).
