The event you've all been waiting for is fast approaching.
No, I'm not talking about the start of the regular season. I'm not talking about the NFL Draft, either. I'm talking about Texans Care Volunteer Day, presented by Reliant!
The third annual event, which occurs Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to noon (CT) at seven locations across the city of Houston, provides an opportunity for fans to volunteer and give back to the Houston community alongside Texans players, Cheerleaders, Ambassadors, TORO and staff members.
The charitable organizations the Texans will travel to include the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston, Houston Food Bank, Star of Hope, YMCA Cinco Ranch Day Camp, Baker-Ripley Neighborhood Center and Promise Community School, Buffalo Bayou Partnership, and the Wesley Community Center.

Following the event, volunteers can head to the Houston Texans Grille for the post-event party, presented by Coors Light. Those who wear their free #TexansCare volunteer day t-shirt get 25 percent off food, drink specials and giveaways, and an exclusive opportunity to announce a Texans draft pick live on television. Voice of the Texans Marc Vandermeer and special guests will be broadcasting live on Texans radio, with the Houston Texans Cheerleaders, Ambassadors and TORO present for autographs and pictures.
The post-event party is also open to the public, where non-volunteers will have an opportunity to announce a Texans draft pick.
The Texans recognize the importance of and take great pleasure in giving back to the community and are excited to invite Texans fans to volunteer alongside the team for a third consecutive year. The organizations listed below work to improve the standard of living for the young people of Houston, which aligns with the Texans mission to be Champions for Youth.
