The weather in Glasglow Sunday was more fit for crew than for football. But Todd
Sievers's foot ultimately proved to be the difference.
Siever kicked a 44-yard field goal for Amsterdam to provide the only points in
the Admirals' 3-0 win over the Scottish Claymores. Siever's kick gave Amsterdam
its first win of the season and was set up by a 30-yard reception by running back
Jason Anderson.
Sievers' efforts earned him NFL Europe Special Teams Player of the Week honors,
the third consecutive week a Texans-allocated player has won the award (Rober'
Freeman, Jermaine Lewis).
In other Week 3 action, Berlin held off Cologne 35-31 to run its record to 3-0.
Fullback Ed Stansbury had one catch for eight yards for the Thunder and linebacker
Kevin DeRonde posted four tackles. Steve Cheek landed both of his punts inside
the 20 for the Centurions.
Frankfurt is NFL Europe's other 3-0 team after defeating previously unbeaten
Rhein 28-10. Wide receiver Jermaine Lewis had one reception for 13 yards for the
Galaxy.
