HOUSTON -
The Houston Texans announced today that they have re-signed free agent DL Jerry Deloach.

Deloach (6-2, 335) played in 15 games, starting three in 2004. He was forced into a reserve role where he accounted for 49 tackles and one batted pass after the Texans acquired DE Robaire Smith in free agency during the 2004 off-season.

Deloach missed his first game as a Texans player at Kansas City on 9/26/04. Prior to that game, he started every game (34 games) on the Texans defensive line. The four year pro has managed 261 tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery during his Texans career (2002-04).

The Texans received Deloach in the team's first trade when they dealt QB Danny Wuerffel to the Washington Redskins. During his rookie season, Deloach recorded 11 tackles and one sack.
