HOUSTON – The Houston Texans have signed unrestricted free agent FS Rahim Moore, it was announced today. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Moore (6-1, 195), started all 16 games in 2014 for the Denver Broncos, posting 50 tackles (44 solo), four interceptions, five passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Moore's four interceptions were both a career-high and tied for the team lead last season. Moore recorded a career-best two interceptions in the Broncos 2014 season opening win vs. Indianapolis.
Drafted in the second round (45th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft out of UCLA, Moore has started 48
-of-57 games during his first four NFL seasons, totaling 196 tackles (169) solo, one sack, eight interceptions, 20 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
The Los Angeles, Calif. native was a team captain and first-team All-American at UCLA where he started all 37 games and ranks fourth in school history with 14 interceptions, including leading the nation with 10 interceptions as a sophomore in 2009.
