MIAMI-- The Texans have signed long snapper Bryan Pittman from the practice squad to the active roster. To make room for Pittman, the Texans waived long snapper Chance Pearce.
Pittman (6-3, 270) was a long snapper at the University of Washington from 1997-98. Prior to joining the Huskies, Pittman spent two years at Walla Walla Community College, where he started at tight end both seasons. He played semi-pro ball with the Puget Sound Jets in the Northwest Football League for two seasons before signing with the Browns on Apr. 9, 2003. Cleveland released Pittman on May 19, re-signed him on July 25 and released him again on Aug. 27.
Pearce
