Texans sign Slechta, place Stevens on injured reserve

HOUSTON - The Houston Texans placed S Matt Stevens on the Reserve/Injured list (knee) and signed DT Jeremy Slechta to take his roster spot. Slechta (6-6, 285) played in 13 regular season games and both playoff contests for Philadelphia during his 2002 rookie campaign and recorded two tackles. The Eagles signed Slechta as an undrafted rookie out of Nebraska (04/23/02).
