Head coach Dom Capers
*
(on the first half) "The disappointing thing to me is we played really well last
week. I was very disappointed in the way we played in the first half. The Steelers
were more ready to play than us. We need to see how we'll respond in the second
half."

*QB David Carr
*
(on the performance of the offense) "The first two drives we had some bad field
position and we made some mental mistakes. These are things we can fix, that's
what the preseason is for. In the third drive our guys came back with a 13-play
drive. We still need to mature a little as an offense. We've got guys who can
make plays."
*WR Andre Johnson
*
(on his catches) "They were just playing us man-to-man and we felt like we could
get open on those guys. David (Carr) made some good throws and we were able to
make some plays."
*DE Robaire Smith
*
(on the defense) "They tried to establish the run against us early on. They made
a couple of big plays out there and they kept us out on the field too long. We
have some things we need to work on in practice to improve, like getting off the
field on third down. Besides that, I think we are going to be OK."
*LB Kailee Wong
*
(on his position switch) "It was definitely strange. I wasn't happy with the
way I played. I was a lot more tentative than I would have liked. I was seeing
the plays from a new perspective and I'm excited to get better every week."
*TE Mark Bruener

(on being back in Pittsburgh) "It feels great to come back home and see some
friends and old teammates. It really was an awkward feeling to come out on the
field on the opposite side of my former team. Once the action started, I lost
all the butterflies in my stomach and I got back into the groove as far as playing
football again."
