With 52 days remaining until the inaugural Texas Bowl kickoff, the participating
conferences regular football season is winding down. The Big 12 and Big East Conferences
now have 12 teams combined that are bowl eligible and others that are extremely
close.
Four Big East teams had off weeks, focusing most of the attention on the
22-12, making the Bulls bowl eligible and matching their records at 6-3.
The Big 12 still has three teams ranked in the top 25, and
34-20, giving the Cornhuskers the number one position in the Big 12 North.Â

The Texas Bowl is on its way to becoming the newest
