Hi, Texans fans!
As many of you know, today is my last day with the team before I head east to Beaumont to work as a sports anchor/reporter for the Fox affiliate there. Saying goodbye to the Texans has been bittersweet. Everything about the organization is first-class – the front office, coaching staff, players and most especially the fans.
Connecting with the team's fans as the Texans TV reporter is what made my experience so special. I can't tell you how lucky I feel to have had the opportunity to report on the team and communicate with the fans.
Of course, I also had a lot fun. There are not many jobs where you get to stand on the sidelines at Lambeau Field and watch your team pull out a gutsy win over the Green Bay Packers in freezing temps. Or where you sent to interview players at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Or where you get to learn blocking schemes from NFL coaches. Or eat endless amounts of food on the team's charter flights on road trips. I will never get over how much food an NFL team consumes!
It's been an amazing two years with the Texans, and thank you for making that possible. I am keeping my account on the I'm A Texan Club, so keep in touch. I see big things for the Texans in 2009!!
GO TEXANS!!!
