Last night stung.

The Texans fell, 26-23, to the Detroit Lions at NRG Stadium.

They never trailed in the game until the Jake Bates 52-yard field goal sailed just inside the left upright as time expired in regulation. They were in a scoreless tie with Detroit for the first 7:14 of the contest, took the lead then and held it until there was just 5:01 left in the game, and led by as much as 16 points in the third quarter.

Team Analyst/Radio Sideline Reporter John Harris pinpointed some of the key moments in the game in his "Big Play Breakdown".

Harris also had 16 key notes from the game in his "Harris Hits".

Voice of the Texans Marc Vandermeer shared his thoughts on the loss, and what's next, in his VanderBlog.

Wide receiver John Metchie, III caught his first career touchdown last night, and it gave Houston a 23-7 advantage just before halftime. He led Houston with five catches for 74 yards, and was a bright spot in the loss.
