Tyrod Taylor TD run gives Texans lead in Cleveland

Tyrod Taylor added a second-quarter touchdown run to a first-quarter touchdown pass and gave the Texans a 14-7 advantage in Cleveland.

Following a Justin Reid interception that gave Houston the ball at the Browns' 47-yard line, Taylor quickly moved the Texans offense down the field.

After Phillip Linsday was stuffed at the line of scrimmage, Taylor found WR Danny Amendola for a 9-yard completion. He then connected with Brandin Cooks for a 22-yard completion, which was followed by Lindsay's gain of a yard. Taylor's first incompletion of the day followed, and on 3rd-and-9, he waltzed into the end zone for 15 yards and six points.

Joey Slye's extra point put the Texans up by seven with 7:06 remaining in the half.

Taylor was 10-of-11 for 125 yards, with the scoring pass and scoring run. Three different receivers--Cooks, Lindsay and Nico Collins--had receptions of 22 yards or more.

The Texans will host the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 7:20 p.m. CT on NBC, NFL Network and SportsRadio 610. Click here for tickets.
