Houston finished the 2018 preseason 3-1 with wins over the Kansas City Chiefs (17-10 in Week 1), San Francisco 49ers (16-13 in Week 2) and Dallas Cowboys (14-6 in Week 4). The Texans defense played well throughout the 2018 preseason, inishing third in the NFL in interceptions (six) and ifth in rushing yards allowed (84.5). On offense, Houston was led by QB Brandon Weeden (277 passing yards, three touchdowns) and QB Joe Webb III (412 passing yards, two touchdowns).
