The Houston Texans (1-1) will travel to take on the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots (1-1) at Gillette Stadium in Week 3. Kickoff is scheduled for noon CT on CBS and Westwood One Radio.
Houston is coming off a 13-9 road victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football in Week 2. QB Deshaun Watson made his first career NFL start and completed 15-of-24 passes (62.5%) for 125 yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions and a 75.9 passer rating. Watson scored the game's only touchdown on a 49-yard run in the second quarter, the longest touchdown run by a quarterback in his first career start in NFL history and the longest run ever by a Texans quarterback.
Houston ran for 168 net rushing yards on 35 attempts against the Bengals, including 106 rushing yards on 18 attempts in the first half. RB Lamar Miller had 61 rushing yards on a team-high 18 attempts (3.4 avg.) while Watson (67 yards on five attempts) and fellow rookie RB D'Onta Foreman (40 yards on 12 attempts) combined for the other 107 yards on the ground.
