Wade Smith, Whitney Mercilus won't play vs. MIA

Left guard Wade Smith and outside linebacker Whitney Mercilus are amongst the starters who won't suit up for the Texans on Saturday night against Miami.

Inside linebacker Tim Dobbins, receiver Alan Bonner, offensive lineman Brennan Williams and nose tackle Chris Jones also won't suit up.

In place of Smith, second-year lineman Ben Jones will start. Meanwhile, undrafted rookie Justin Tuggle will start for Mercilus.

There are no inactives during the preseason.
