Despite playing just seven regular season games together, Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins developed a chemistry as good as any quarterback-receiver duo in the NFL.
This week, NFL.com ranked Watson and Hopkins seventh among the league's top QB-WR duos, including veteran combinations such as Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown who were ranked No. 1 on the list.
"Hopkins owned a 38 percent share of Watson's intended air yards, as the rookie learned quickly he could lean on the All-Pro wideout," according to NFL.com. "While Hopkins was still productive after Watson went down for the season in early November, the tune wasn't quite as strong. Watson posted a 104.1 passer rating on his throws to Hopkins."
Watson connected with Hopkins on seven touchdown passes in as many games. Hopkins, who recorded a career-high three touchdown performance in Week 5 against Kansas City, earned First-Team All-Pro honors for the first time in his career and finished the season with a league-best 13 touchdowns.
