Deshaun Watson kept his cool despite unseasonably warm temperatures in Foxborough.
The rookie quarterback threw a 29-yard touchdown to Bruce Ellington to give Houston a 10-7 lead against the New England Patriots with 1:51 left in the first quarter. Watson started the scoring drive with a 15-yard completion to Braxton Miller on a short field.
Houston's scoring drive began on the New England 44-yard line after the defense forced a three-and-out deep in New England territory on the previous drive. Jadeveon Clowney was credited with a sack for a loss of nine yards. The Patriots were forced to punt from their own endzone.
Watson's touchdown pass capped off a two-play, 44-yard scoring drive for the Texans.
