Week 11 Numbers | Daily Brew

Let's get behind the numbers for this matchup with the Patriots.

2 - the number of times Cam Newton faced the Texans as the starter for the Carolina Panthers (2011, 2015). Unfortunately, Cam is also 2-0 in those matchups. He's never faced the Texans as a member of any other team.

12 - yards Patriots running back Damien Harris ran for in his rookie season of 2019.

471 - yards Harris has rushed for in 2020 in just nine games.

410 - Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will coach his 410th career game as a head coach on Sunday. He has a career record of 277 wins and 132 losses.

117 - This will be just the 117th game in which former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady won't start for a Bill Belichick coached team. (80 with the Browns, 16 in Brady's rookie year, two his second year, 15 in 2008 when Brady tore his ACL and four when Brady was suspended in 2016.)

1 - The Texans have faced a Patriots squad NOT led by Tom Brady just once. In 2016, while Brady was serving a four game suspension when the Texans visited on a September evening. Jacoby Brissett started for the Patriots that night and led them to a 27-0 win over the Texans in week three

1,471 - Texans tight end Pharoah Brown, a key pickup for the Texans earlier this season, caught his first NFL touchdown last week against his former team - Cleveland. It was his first touchdown in 1,471 days when he caught a touchdown pass against USC as a member of the Oregon Ducks on November 5, 2016.

1 - Deshaun Watson has one career reception and it came against the Patriots last season. Watson caught a "pass" from DeAndre Hopkins for a touchdown that cemented last year's win. That was Watson's first reception in his seven years of college and NFL play. (Now, I do think it was his first reception of his career but I couldn't confirm his high school stats.)

Alright, that'll do it for this week. See you on Sunday, everyone!
