The "Motown Vermonters" racked up an impressive 164 points in Week 13 of the HoustonTexans.com **Home Team Challenge** thanks to the help of running back DeAngelo Williams (32 pts), quarterback Tony Romo (30 pts), DST Titans (28 pts) and running back Thomas Jones (27 pts).
Not only did "Motown Vermonters" finish in first place among Houston Texans fans, but that output was good enough for third overall this week among NFL fans. Congrats to the "Motown Vermonters," who has won a football autographed by Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson.
In Week 14, a Texans mini-helmet signed by tight end Owen Daniels will be on the line in the Texans Fantasy Football League.
With 30 points from Romo, 28 points from DST Titans and 27 points courtesy of Jones, TORO's "Ballers" outshined everyone else in the Texans Celebrity League with 140 points in Week 13. TORO attributed his team's outstanding performance to the way his team prepares for the game.
"We have put in countless hours playing Madden '09 on Xbox," TORO said. "Calling for a fake punt on first down really seems to throw the opponents off, but I tell you what… it works every time."
Patti Smith of FSN Houston guided her "FSN Diva" squad to second place with 134 points. Ralph Cooper of KCOH Radio on 1430 AM led his "kcohcolts" to a third-place finish with 130 points, rounding out one of the highest scoring weeks of the 2008 season.
TORO is back on top in the Celebrity League after his Week 13 performance.
