Rookie Will Fuller V is expected to play in Sunday's regular season opener against the Chicago Bears, despite being limited in practice this week with a hamstring issue.
"He'll be fine," head coach Bill O'Brien said Thursday.
The Texans first-round draft pick hauled in eight catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns this preseason. Fuller and Braxton Miller have been healthy this offseason which has directly impacted the rookie wide receivers' progress, according to offensive coordinator George Godsey.
"Just their ability to learn and also, there's no day off for them," Godsey said. "They're in here, they're getting treatment with their bodies, they're out there at practice every day. So, naturally when you're out there at practice every day you're going to improve, and that's what we've seen from them."
The Texans host the Bears on Sunday at NRG Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon CT on FOX-26 and SportsRadio 610.
