📸 Texans send eight teams to NFL Flag Championships in Canton

From the Texans, eight teams will head north, ranging from a 9 and under squad called "Relentless", all the way up to an 18 and under "Liberty City Warriors" club. The Texans will even send a team to the International Division, as "Team Mexico" will compete for Houston. All these Texans teams headed to Canton emerged from a tournament held regionally in December. What started with 90 clubs from all over the region, was whittled down to the eight regional champions, who are now gunning for national titles at the 2024 NFL Flag Championships. Before their sendoff, each player representing the Texans received a bucket hat, sunglasses, a shirts and other Texans swag for the journey.

Youth Football Camp Presented by Chevron

On Saturday, June 15 the Houston Texans hosted the Youth Football Camp presented by Chevron. Participants ages 6-14 participated in tackle and flag camps for both beginners and experienced players. Campers received Texans swag and appearances by Houston Texans Wide Receiver Nico Collins, Texans Legend Cecil Shorts III, TORO, and the Houston Texans Cheerleaders.

Girls FLAG Kickoff Jamboree 

On Saturday, March 25, the Houston Texans hosted the second Girls Flag Kickoff Jamboree at Legacy School of Sports Sciences! Over 90 female student-athletes participated in drills sessions followed by a flag football tournament. Throughout the day there were surprise visits by Texans Legends Earl Mitchell and Cecil Shorts III, Cheerleaders and TORO. Take a look at all the fun from the tournament! During the 2022 high school football season, the Texans took nominations for which high school football game we should visit for our final Friday Night Football stop. All the votes deemed the matchup between the Madison Marlins and Sterling Raiders the winner with Sterling ultimately taking home the win. Take a look back at the matchup and thank you to all who voted. We will see you next season!

The Houston Texans and Houston Methodist hosted a free, in-person clinic on Saturday, May 21 at the Houston Methodist Training Center. Kids, ages 7 to 14, joined Texans players, Cheerleaders, and more to learn about the importance of player safety while practicing football fundamentals.

On Saturday, April 9, the Houston Texans hosted the Girls Flag Jamboree! Over 90 female student athletes participated in drills sessions followed by flag football tournament. Throughout the day there were surprise visits by Texans players, Legends, TORO, and Cheerleaders. Each team also received a flag kit equipment donation from the Houston Texans Foundation.
