Huddle Against Hunger Scavenger Hunt at Kroger

The Texans, Kroger and the Houston Food Bank are teamed up to celebrate students from Sam Houston Elementary School who completed the Huddle Against Hunger curriculum this year. The students competed in a scavenger hunt around Kroger in search of healthy food options. Texans DB Tavierre Thomas, Texans Cheerleaders and TORO helped the students find nutritional options and race to be the first to locate all items.

The Huddle Against Hunger Program presented by Kroger was developed in partnership with the Houston Food Bank and the Texans and is designed to help students better understand issues around food insecurity, hunger and the importance of nutrition.

Thirty elementary-school students from Aldine ISD came to Kroger for a scavenger hunt with the Texans and the Houston Food Bank. The class completed the Huddle Against Hunger curriculum that educates students about hunger and food insecurity, so it was time to celebrate! The teams collected nutritious items that were then donated to the Houston Food Bank. The winning team received $100 gift cards to Kroger and all students went home with Texans goodies and gift cards. Sign up your classroom now here.
