Photos: Fourth Annual Mother-Son Holiday Shopping Spree

In honor of Giving Tuesday, 11 students and their mothers joined Andre Hal and his mother at the Palais Royal department store. Palais Royal, the Official Department Store of the Houston Texans, donated a $350 gift card to each student to spend during the event. While shopping, the students spent time with Hal and his teammates as he shares advice on planning their futures and emphasizes the importance of a family support system.

Texans host Girls Flag Jamboree

The Houston Texans hosted over 200 athletes in their Girls Flag League program for a flag football clinic held at the Houston Methodist Training Center. The athletes developed their skills through a series of drills coached by professional women's football team, the Houston Energy, and were visited by special guests Adrienne Smith and Texans Legends, Cecil Shorts III and Earl Mitchell

The Houston Texans celebrated exceptional educators through the Texans Touchdown Teacher Initiative, a 24-hour campaign inviting fans to nominate teachers who exemplify excellence in and out of the classroom. This year's winner, Mrs. Okoli, a 4th grade math teacher at KIPP Shine Prep, was honored in a heartwarming surprise with her entire fourth-grade class.

This season, the Houston Texans partnered with the Wade Smith Foundation and HISD for Reading with the Pros. As part of the program, campuses participated in a reading competition. The students at Mading Elementary won the competition reading over 150 books, earning them the grand prize of a custom Houston Texans "Reading Corner" in their school library!

Austin High School's football program to award a $20,000 grant in support of programmatic and equipment needs through the team's new Grow the Game initiative. Each year, the Houston Texans Foundation will award a grant to one football program in H-Town, providing resources to help reduce barriers facing underserved programs.
