Photos: Super Turkey Food Drive

On Thursday, the Texans, TORO and Houston Texans Cheerleaders, took part in the Super Turkey Food Drive, part of the 42nd Annual Thanksgiving Super Feast with the City of Houston and City Wide Club of America. Community members had an opportunity to drive up and drop off donation items needed to help feed Houstonians at the SUPER FEAST, also known as "The Nation's Largest Feeding" at the George R. Brown Convention Center. More than 30,000 underprivileged individuals, families, senior citizens, and veterans will be served this holiday season. Learn more here.

Texans host Girls Flag Jamboree

The Houston Texans hosted over 200 athletes in their Girls Flag League program for a flag football clinic held at the Houston Methodist Training Center. The Houston Texans celebrated exceptional educators through the Texans Touchdown Teacher Initiative, a 24-hour campaign inviting fans to nominate teachers who exemplify excellence in and out of the classroom. This year's winner, Mrs. Okoli, a 4th grade math teacher at KIPP Shine Prep, was honored in a heartwarming surprise with her entire fourth-grade class.

📸 2024 Reading with the Pros

This season, the Houston Texans partnered with the Wade Smith Foundation and HISD for Reading with the Pros. As part of the program, campuses participated in a reading competition. The students at Mading Elementary won the competition reading over 150 books, earning them the grand prize of a custom Houston Texans "Reading Corner" in their school library!

In honor of Founder's Day, the Houston Texans selected Stephen F. Austin High School's football program to award a $20,000 grant in support of programmatic and equipment needs through the team's new Grow the Game initiative. Each year, the Houston Texans Foundation will award a grant to one football program in H-Town, providing resources to help reduce barriers facing underserved programs.
