The Houston Texans celebrated exceptional educators through the Texans Touchdown Teacher Initiative, a 24-hour campaign inviting fans to nominate teachers who exemplify excellence in and out of the classroom. This year's winner, Mrs. Okoli, a 4th grade math teacher at KIPP Shine Prep, was honored in a heartwarming surprise with her entire fourth-grade class.

Houston Texans Legends, TORO, and HTC joined the faculty and staff of Walt Disney Elementary to welcome students back to school after their campus was damaged after the holiday tornadoes in Brazoria County. Walt Disney Elementary School, is one of our valued Flag in Schools campuses.

This season, the Houston Texans partnered with the Wade Smith Foundation and HISD for Reading with the Pros. As part of the program, campuses participated in a reading competition. The students at Mading Elementary won the competition reading over 150 books, earning them the grand prize of a custom Houston Texans "Reading Corner" in their school library!

The Houston Texans were joined by players around the league to raise awareness about a cause close to their hearts by wearing it on their feet. This year, more than 30 Texans players participated in My Cause My Cleats. Find the complete list of players and their causes here.

In honor of Founder's Day, the Houston Texans selected Stephen F. Austin High School's football program to award a $20,000 grant in support of programmatic and equipment needs through the team's new Grow the Game initiative. Each year, the Houston Texans Foundation will award a grant to one football program in H-Town, providing resources to help reduce barriers facing underserved programs.

On Saturday, June 15 the Houston Texans hosted the Youth Football Camp presented by Chevron. Participants ages 6-14 participated in tackle and flag camps for both beginners and experienced players. Campers received Texans swag and appearances by Houston Texans Wide Receiver Nico Collins, Texans Legend Cecil Shorts III, TORO, and the Houston Texans Cheerleaders.

On Saturday, February 10th, the Houston Texans Senior Showcase presented by Gatorade took place at the Houston Methodist Training Center. Over 350 local area high school seniors participated in combine style drills for more than (40) DII, DIII, & NAIA colleges/university.

On Saturday, January 20th the Houston Texans hosted the a Playoff Skills Clinic at the Houston Methodist Training Center. In the celebration of the Divisional Round appearance, the Texans hosted over 150 youth football athletes from Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association. Clinic participants took part in Playoff-style combine drills, and also received appearances from Texans Legends, TORO, and the Houston Texans Cheerleaders.

Houston Texans Legends Earl Mitchell, Moran Norris, Anthony Hill, and Jonathan Wells and Houston Texans Cheerleaders surprised Madison High School Students with popcorn as they came in for school for Texans Friday. Students and staff wore their favorite Texans gear to celebrate the Texans winning the AFC South.

To celebrate winning the AFC South Division and hosting a playoff game against the Cleveland Browns, the Houston Texans held a Flag-In-Schools Clinic Playoff Edition at Lockhart Elementary School. Houston Texans Legend Earl Mitchell and Houston Texans Cheerleaders helped teach kids the fundamentals of football and to get them excited for the upcoming playoff game.
