Brent Naccara enters his third season with the Houston Texans in 2020 as the team's director of security and player logistics. In his role, Naccara is responsible for coordinating safety and security for the team, coaching staff and executives as well as overseeing the logistics of all player-related operations.
Naccara develops and maintains communication and coordination with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and serves as a liaison with the NFL security office to ensure the Texans are in compliance with the league's policies and procedures. He also assists the personnel department with risk assessments and investigations regarding player or staff prospects. Additionally, he oversees the team's Rookie Success Program and serves as the liaison between all players and the NFL Player Engagement Office to maintain compliance.
Naccara comes to Houston after working as a special agent in the U.S. Department of the Interior, where he investigated federal crimes and conducted security assessments.
Prior to his time at the DOI, Naccara was a special agent in the U.S. Secret Service for 13 years. He served as Team Leader on the Counter Assault Team, providing worldwide tactical coverage for the President of the United States and his family and coordinating security operations with law enforcement and military units. Naccara also served on the Presidential Protection Detail, providing physical protection for the President and his family.
Naccara played fullback and linebacker at the University of Maine, where he earned all-conference honors in 1998 and graduated with a bachelor's degree in mass communications and advertising in 1999. He parlayed his standout collegiate career into a one-year stint with the New York Jets and two seasons with the New Jersey Gladiators of the Arena Football League.
Naccara and his wife, Jana, live in Houston with their two daughters, Brylee and Brooke.
