Texans surprise four health care workers with tickets to Super Bowl LV

The Texans helped celebrate Kwanzaa with Inspire Change Grant recipient, SHAPE Community Center. SHAPE was recently the recipient of a $50,000 grant from the Texans, ConocoPhillips, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages and Miller Lite to support their work in the community with underserved youth. Texans Cheerleaders took part in the short presentation about Kwanzaa centered around the principal of Kujichagulia (Self-Determination) and joined kids for special activities. The Texans also provided giveaways, lunch and an ice cream truck for attendees.

Academy Sports + Outdoors and Texans delivered sports equipment to Jackson Intermediate.

To bring some holiday cheer to local families, Chevron and the Houston Texans supplied 200 families with turkeys, groceries and holiday gifts at the Chevron Market Pantry last week. The pantry is operated in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Houston Texans, Chevron and the Houston Food Bank. Texans Cheerleaders, Texans Legends and TORO joined volunteers and staff from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston and Chevron to distribute groceries at the drive-thru pantry.

The Texans and Conn's HomePlus gave three families from the Boys and Girls Club $15,000 for a holiday shopping spree with Texans Players, TORO and the Houston Texans Cheerleaders.

This December, the Houston Texans and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston celebrated the fifth anniversary of the opening of the Houston Texans Teen Club at their annual holiday party. The Houston Texans announced a donation of $450,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston to continue our partnership as one of the Texans three strategic community partners.

In honor of the My Cause My Cleats initiative, Tyrod Taylor spoke to a group of students at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. Tyrod Taylor selected the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston as his Community Huddle group this season to receive tickets to Texans games through the Tyrod Taylor Foundation. The Tyrod Taylor Foundation supports youth development programs and he will be wearing cleats on Battle Red Day presented by Mattress Firm to showcase the cause. Each member of the Boys & Girls Clubs will be given the opportunity to decorate their own pair of "cleats" to highlight a cause and what is important to them courtesy of Mattress Firm.

On Giving Tuesday, the Houston Texans, ConocoPhillips, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages and Miller Lite awarded $400,000 through the Inspire Change Grant Fund to 15 local nonprofits and educational programs working to make a difference in the Houston community. The recipients were surprised at a breakfast this morning at NRG Stadium with Vice President of the Houston Texans Foundation Hannah McNair, Texans players and Texans Legends. Learn more.

Houston Texans Laremy Tunsil and Tyrod Taylor passed out groceries for Thanksgiving meals to families from the Boys and Girls Club and YMCA Houston.

For the past 10 years, the Houston Texans have partnered with Operation Finally Home to surprise a wounded, ill or injured military hero and their family with a home, building homes and hope for these heroes. To celebrate the lives that have been changed through this partnership, the Texans and USAA are inviting 11 families who have received houses to NRG Stadium for a special private family field day on the field of NRG Stadium leading up to Thanksgiving. Families watched a video commemorating 10 years of surprises, received $500 gift cards for groceries for Thanksgiving, Texans goodie bags and enjoy football drills, lunch, games and more.

Hundreds of runners came out to NRG Stadium for Running of the Bulls presented by H-E-B and the TORO's 1k presented by Texas Children's Hospital. All proceeds benefit USO Houston and the Houston Texans Foundation.

The Houston Texans Foundation hosted the 12th annual Taste of the Texans presented by Sysco, raising nearly $250,000 to benefit the Houston Food Bank and Houston Texans Foundation. While at the event, guests were able to mingle with Texans celebrities while sampling dishes from some of Houston's top restaurants.

Texans players, TORO and Houston Texans Cheerleaders visited the U.S. Coast Guard in Galveston with USAA to learn about their every-day responsibilities, tour a helicopter and boat, and watch a search and rescue demonstration.

In honor of PLAY 60 Week, Texans players Nico Collins, Jordan Akins, Jeff Driskel, Carson Green, Connor Strachan and Garret Wallow joined members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston for a friendly game of kickball. Texans Cheerleaders and Club members cheered on the teams, TORO served as the referee and Texans Legend Travis Johnson called the play-by-play. PLAY 60 is the NFL's campaign to encourage kids to get off the sidelines and be active for 60 minutes a day in order to help put them on a healthy trajectory for life.

The countdown to Kids Day presented by Texas Children's Hospital is on! TORO and Kamu Grugier-Hill visited patients in the hospital via suspended scaffolding and a robot.

The Houston Texans and Whataburger partnered up to raise $120,000 for the Houston Food Bank through the Hunger Action Campaign to provide much-needed funds to support food insecure people in the Houston community.

The Texans kicked off another year of the Huddle Against Hunger Program presented by Kroger. Students at J. Ruth Smith Elementary School participated in a trivia game with Texans players and one lucky teacher was awarded groceries for a year courtesy of Kroger. The elementary school will be the first to achieve 100% teacher and student participation in the Huddle Against Hunger Program after this school year.

The Houston Texans Rookies came out to ProVision Academy for Play 60 Day presented by Texas Children's Hospital.

In October, the Houston Texans and Miller Lite stopped by Kids' Meals to celebrate Jessica Cordero, the 2021 winner of the Houston Texans Campeón de la Comunidad Award Presented by Miller Lite, long-time NASA employee and volunteer at Kids' Meals. TORO, Houston Texans Cheerleaders, Texans Legend Chester Pitts and Texans Defensive Back Terrance Mitchell joined Miller Lite to pack 840 meals that will be delivered to children in need around Houston. The Texans and Miller Lite also made a $20,000 donation to Kids' Meals in Jessica's honor.

The Houston Texans, Conoco Phillips and WR Chris Conley visited Yates High School and the Houston Area Urban League to kick off Project Ready, a program helping students prepare for college.
