Almost there: Andre Johnson not alone on journey to Hall of Fame

Andre Johnson gets enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, but if you ask him about it, he's not REALLY going in alone.

"It means a lot," Johnson said in a Thursday Night Football interview. "Not only for me and my family back home where I grew up in Miami. A lot of people that have been along with me throughout this journey in the City of Houston, who have embraced me and shown me so much love."

Johnson is 11th in NFL history all-time in receptions and receiving yards, and he was the focal point of the Texans offense for over a decade. The 7-time Pro Bowler has always been on the reserved side, and quiet. But the football world will hear his voice on Saturday afternoon when he gives the final speech of the 7-man class.

"I'm just going to go up there and do my best," Johnson said. "I've never really had to give a speech in front of so many people, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. I've always watched the guys give their speeches and never envisioned myself doing it. I've been practicing a little bit, so we'll see what happens."

The enshrinement ceremonies begin at 11 a.m. CT on August 3 in Canton, Ohio.
