The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on small businesses across the world. The Texans have three main goals as an organization: win championships, create memorable experiences and do great things for our community. With that third goal in mind, the Texans and Amegy Bank are promoting and assisting the small businesses that make the Houston community so great.
The Texans took nominations from fans, and awarded a Small Business Boost. Each winner gets $2,500 to support their immediate business needs, some free promotional assets from the Texans, an inclusion in the Texans 'Local Business Playbook', and an invitation to exclusive Amegy Bank Business Webinars and Events.
Since 2014, David Alcorta Catering LLC has been all about making customers' events exceptional with delectable food and impeccable service. Based in Spring Branch, the company services every corner of Houston, catering everything from weddings, graduations, quinceañeras, baby showers, birthdays and more. From events with 1,000 guests to delivery and pickup service, the 10-person staff of David Alcorta Catering has specialized in custom cakes and desserts that feature a creative flair. The company's namesake is thrilled to pick up the latest business boost.
"Winning the Houston Texans Small Business Boost will help us in our business-continuity efforts during this difficult commercial environment [and] help spread the word about our services to new customers." Alcorta said. "This will help keep us operating and meet our goal to keep our staff employed during this time and for the long-term. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Alcorta's worked with community partners to help feed first responders, and also support nonprofits like Vita Living and The Montrose Center.
Alcorta was professionally trained at the Art Institute of Houston, and he also relies on his Latin heritage when conjuring up his delicious meals.
