This weekend at Reliant Stadium it's your chance to rub elbows with some of your favorite football players. Here are the particulars, courtesy of SportsRadio 610, which is the sponsor of the event.
Current and former players from the NFL, NBA and MLB are among the those who will participate in the May 8 – 12-5 p.m. Fanfest at Reliant Stadium.
The Fanfest is sponsored by Sports Radio 610, and there's no charge for admission.
It features players from the Texans, Oilers, Rockets and Astros and other professional sports who'll participate in question-and-answer forums, sign autographs and pose for pictures.
Texans participating are Eric Winston, Owen Daniels, Steve Slaton, Jacoby Jones, Joel Dreessen, Zac Diles, Jacques Reeves and Dan Orlovsky.
Also, Texans ambassadors attending will be Steve McKinney, N.D. Kalu, Bubba McDowell and Richmond Webb.
Four former Oilers — Dan Pastorini, Carl Mauck, Elvin Bethea and Robert Brazile —will be on a panel answering questions and telling stories about their Luv Ya Blue days.
Former Rockets Mario Elie and Robert Horry and former Astro J.R. Richard are also taking part.
Among other events, fans can participate in interactive activities like 'talk show karaoke'. They can be a color commentator for Marc Vandermeer, the voice of the Texans and co-host with John Lopez of the morning show on Sports Radio 610.
Others participating are five-time Olympic medal winner Chad Hedrick, former major league player Jose Canseco, former lightweight champion Juan Diaz, Jon Stinchcomb and Troy Evans of the New Orleans Saints and former NFL players Ricky Sanders, Greg Hill and Tony Casillas.
