Congratulations to Jamal Andress, who assisted the Texans' web department throughout the 2007 season during his senior year at Hightower High School. Jamal recently was awarded a full $48,000 scholarship to attend the University of Missouri, where he plans to pursue his dream profession of broadcast journalism at Mizzou's renowned Reynolds Journalism Institute.
Check out **this nice video piece on him** done by Fox 26 News, in which Jamal, a varsity basketball player on one of the top teams in the state, demonstrates that young athletes don't have to depend solely on athletic ability to earn a college scholarship.
