Arian Foster and Andre Johnson might play against Atlanta this Saturday night (7:30 p.m. CT on ABC-13/KTRK).
The running back and wide receiver missed the preseason opener at Arizona, and have sat out a good chunk of the training camp practices. But according to head coach Bill O'Brien, there's a chance the duo is available for action versus the Falcons.
"I've spoken to both those guys," O'Brien said. "They're doing better. It's a long season and our
trainers are doing a great job with them. Seems like they've improved and hopefully they can do something this week."
Both Foster and Johnson didn't practice Monday morning with their teammates. Johnson also didn't give a timetable on his return.
"I'm just taking it day-by-day," Johnson said. "I'm feeling better, so we'll see what happens."
He did say, however, that he thinks he'll "get plenty of game experience before the regular season comes", and also that it's important to get some reps in before the Week 1 opener against Washington.
