The Texans teamed up with Christian Alliance to spearhead a three-day city-wide
food drive to supply food for the Star of Hope's three Houston missions that feed
between 800-1,000 men, women and children daily.
The Christian Alliance came through with flying colors, providing 6,000 lbs.
of food to the Star of Hope pantry. Texans general manager Charley Casserly and
two Texans players also helped kick off the drive in the parking lot of Reliant
Stadium where donations of non-perishable food items were being collected to supply
the Star of Hope mission pantries.
Thanks to all of those who donated nourishment to such an important facility
in Houston!
