McNairs chair Pink Ribbon House

Texans owner Bob McNair and his wife, Janice, served as Honorary Chairs of the Pink Ribbon House *Build forĀ a Cure *groundbreaking ceremony in April.

Bearing hard hats and pink shovels, members of the Pink Ribbon House committee attended the ceremony that took place at the site of a million dollar home that will be erected in Bellaire to benefit breast cancer research at Baylor College of Medicine.

Among those who participated in the groundbreaking event were Breast Center Director Dr. C. Kent Osborne, event chairs Becky Rush and Connie Haddox, house builder Royce Hassell, Jane-Page Crump, ASID and the McNair's.

The "Old English" Tudor-style home will feature more than 8,000 square feet of living space that will be open for the public to tour in October to highlight National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Funds raised from sponsors, individual donations, donations of products and services in the building of the home, event tickets and tour tickets will benefit breast cancer research at Baylor College of Medicine.

The home, valued at $1,790,000 will be located at 7907 South Rice Blvd. in Bellaire.
