New CB Kevin Johnson "meets" J.J. Watt, J-Jo

Kevin Johnson didn't take long to "meet" his new teammates. After he arrived in Houston on Friday, the Texans newest player had already heard from two veterans on defense.

"I talked to Johnathan Joseph and J.J. Watt," Johnson said in an interview to be aired on Texans 360. "They sent me texts when I got drafted, congratulating me, telling me they were excited about getting me on the ball club and trying to get to work."

Watt, at his charity softball game, said he had been texting back and forth with the first-round draft pick. Johnson had high praise for his new teammates. The former Wake Forest starting cornerback is already familiar with two, Joseph and Kareem Jackson. Johnson grew up watching them and hopes to learn from the Texans starting tandem.

"Just everything – how they've been successful in the NFL, learning little details how to get better, and how to win against wide receivers in this league," Johnson said.

The full interview with Johnson airs on "Texans All Access: 2015 Draft," which premieres Sunday at 11 p.m. on ABC-13 in Houston and on regional affiliates throughout Texas next week (check your local listings).
