Split decisions: new favorites for Texans at 25th overall | Mock Draft Roundup, 2.0

16x9

In two weeks time, the picture has become muddier in the experts' eyes for the Houston Texans at 25th overall.

In the first Texans Mock Draft Roundup, there was a clear-cut favorite, but now there are three different players who were mocked to Houston by five experts apiece.

Further, they all play different positions.

Alabama offensive lineman Tyler Booker is in that trio, and he was joined by Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant.

On Thursday, we'll be nine weeks away from the start of the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay. Houston has the 25th overall pick, and HoustonTexans.com pinpointed 37 of the more prominent ones to see which direction the Texans might go with that pick.

Booker was the most-mocked prospect to Houston last time, and he checked in on 25 percent of all the mocks surveyed. This week, he's at 13.5 percent with Egbuka and Grant.

North Dakota State offensive lineman Gray Zabel was a Texans selection in four different mocks, while wide receivers Luther Burden of Missouri and Matthew Golden from Texas were each mocked to the Texans three times apiece.

27 of 37 (73%) experts predicted an offensive player getting drafted by Houston in the first round, with 14 of 37 (37.8%) tabbing an offensive lineman as the choice.

21.6 percent of the mock drafts have the Texans taking a defensive tackle.

The Texans currently have these six picks in the Draft.
