The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on small businesses across the world.
The Texans have three main goals as an organization: win championships, create memorable experiences and do great things for our community. With that third goal in mind, the Texans and Amegy Bank are promoting and assisting the small businesses that make the Houston community so great.
The Texans took nominations from fans, and awarded Small Business Boosts. Each winner gets $2,500 to support their immediate business needs, some free promotional assets from the Texans, an inclusion in the Texans 'Local Business Playbook', and an invitation to exclusive Amegy Bank Business Webinars and Events.
Fitness routines have been affected by COVID-19, and The Artz has helped many get a new and improved outlet to stay in shape.
Like every other aspect of life during the Pandemic, the way we exercise was changed to a degree.
The Artz is a local Black-owned business that was founded six years ago. It's the city's largest aerial arts and circus studio, and it's an inclusive space offering a wide range of classes for ages 2 to 102.
Owner DeMarco Howard and company have soldiered on during these trying times, and the Houston Texans are proud to partner with Amegy Bank to to award The Artz a Small Business Boost.
"Our priority is providing a supportive environment where people of all abilities can come workout and have fun," Howard said. "This incredible grant opportunity is helping us in our current goal of finding a space we can call our own. We offer a unique way for everyone in the family to work out, experience something new and have fun at the same time."
The creative workout environment has become such a hit, that over 30 people nominated The Artz for a Small Business Boost.
