WHAT HAPPENED IN THE TEXANS VS COLTS GAME
In a fiery divisional showdown, the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts each looked to establish the running game early. Houston continued to lean on the physicality of Joe Mixon, who finished drives with power. Meanwhile, Jonathan Taylor made sure the first tackler rarely brought him down.
Near the goallines, though, the defenses were stout and in the first quarter the teams could only trade field goals until Colts QB Anthony Richardson found Josh Downs up the left side for a 69-yard touchdown.
Texans QB C.J. Stroud responded with a two touchdown drives in the second quarter. The first was a massive 12-play, 70 yard drive that finished with a bruising 14-yard run from Joe Mixon.
The second touchdown came on a slick pass from Stroud to Tank Dell, who created separation in the back of the endzone. That score came on a seven-yard drive following a Jalen Pitre interception.
