Got a question about the Texans?
Life in general?
Drew Dougherty's your guy.
He's been with the Texans since 2009 and is chock full of meaningful, as well as generally useless, information. Fire away by clicking
HERE.

Joshua Flores: Dear Drew, Who do you think is gonna finish with the most receiving yards this season for the Texans?
DD: That's a zillion dollar questions, Joshua. Spin the wheel between Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell. That's the best I got.

Collins was the leader last year with 1,297 yards. But Diggs is now in the fold, and he finished with 1,183 yards, and has cracked 1,000 yards or more every season since 2018. Dell, meanwhile, only played 11 snaps in the Denver win, before he was lost for the season with a leg injury. He was also inactive in the win over New Orleans. But in the 10 games he played and caught passes, he averaged 71 yards per. That paces out to a 1,207-yard season.

The options abound for Stroud, and I can't wait to see what unfolds. But I think one of those three ultimately gets the most yardage.

Jacqueline Pellegrino: Dear Drew, Do you agree that Ka'imi Fairbairn is one of the best kickers in the league?
DD: I do, but it's not up to my opinion. The stats are undeniable.

He made all but ONE field goal last season. ONE!!!!

Think about that: he booted 28 times, and made 27 of them. All 10 from 29 or shorter. All 10 from 30 to 39 yards. Both between 40 and 49 yards. 5-of-6 from 50 yards or longer.

He's accurate on kickoffs as well, placing the ball where Special Teams Coordinator Frank Ross wants it, and helping Houston's coverage unit finish 10th-best in the NFL by allowing just 21.9 yards per kickoff return.

Mark Eldridge: Dear Drew, When John Metchie, III scores his first NFL touchdown, can we get the fans and players to do his trademark celebration? I would love to see this happen in the home opener how about you?
DD: Cool with me. Metchie, by all accounts, has looked good this offseason. Quaterback C.J. Stroud and others have spoken glowingly about the third-year receiver. If and when he does find the end zone, it'll be cool to see if he does the Karate Kid crane-kick setup celebration.

I would imagine a lot of his teammates and many fans will raise their arms and one leg, as well.

James Ramirez: Which of the new Texans uniforms is your personal favorite? Also, is there a consensus among the players on which one they like the most?
DD: I applauded the updates, and am a fan of the new looks. I'm always going to be a sucker for Battle Reds though. They're my favorite.

I'm not sure there's a consensus, but the players seem to be fans mainly of the City Inspired ones and the Battle Reds.
