In the aftermath of Sunday's loss to Tennessee, the Texans were looking to correct mistakes and get back in the win column.
Houston fell, 30-27, to the Titans at NRG Stadium. With mistakes and miscues coming on offense, defense and special teams, the players described what was needed to improve.
"All I know how to do is just practice better, play better, meet better," Quarterback C.J. Stroud said. "Do everything better, you know? It's part of the game. I'm just going to use this as a time where I need to look myself in the mirror and get better."
Defensive end Will Anderson, Jr. missed the previous two games before today, and he wound up with two sacks in his return. He remains confident the Texans will bounce back.
"Things happen, things don't go our way, it's about how we respond," Anderson said. "Right now it's just been up and down. Everything we want is still in front of us. We've just got to keep chopping."
Fellow defensive end Danielle Hunter rang up three sacks and five tackles for loss against the Titans, and he pinpointed what must be done differently as a team.
"We just got to lock in a little bit more," Hunter said. "We made a lot of mistakes and we weren't as locked in as we should have been. The biggest thing is just learning from this and moving on to the next game."
Houston will face the Jaguars in Jacksonville next Sunday at noon.
