The Texans offense got going early at New England.
On the opening possession of the game, C.J. Stroud tossed a 2-yard touchdown to wide receiver Tank Dell, and the Ka'imi Fairbairn extra point gave Houston a 7-0 advantage with 9:13 left in the first quarter.
On the drive, the Texans marched 65 yards on 11 plays, and burned 5:47 off the game clock.
Stroud completed 5-of-6 passes for 54 yards and the score on the drive, as Dell also caught a 20-yarder, and Stefon Diggs pulled in a pair of passes for 24 yards on the drive.
It was Dell's first touchdown catch of the season, and Stroud's eighth scoring pass of 2024.
