Jets Interim Head Coach Jeff Ulbrich on Texans Quarterback C.J. Stroud: "The guy that we watched last year, and prepared for last year, amazed me in the sense that he was a rookie, just his patience, his composure, his ability to get to the third progression consistently, it's unheard of for a young guy. But you just see a guy that's improving in every way, and last year, I felt there were times where he was hesitant to tuck it and run. It was like he was being preached to, like "we're going to win this thing with your arm". I'm seeing him take a little more liberties with his legs and his athleticism, you see him beyond the sticks a little bit more with his feet this year.
Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the Texans Defense: "I'm going to have to move around a little bit. Will (Anderson Jr.) and Danielle (Hunter) are great pass rushers and not the only ones who get a good push in the middle. They can bring five-man pressures, six-man pressure, all-out pressure, so I got to be able to move a little bit, and I'm not the runner I once was."
Ulbrich on on Texans Defensive End Danielle Hunter: "Man, I was hoping when I put the tape on that I was going to see an older guy that had lost a step. But he still can go. He can still go. He can still bend, obviously has an arsenal of moves. So he's a problem, both they're rushers, and their entire d-line for that matter. They play the same style up front as we do as far as the attack system, and they get after you. They have speed all three levels. Schematically they're very similar to us, so they're attacking. They don't do a lot, but what they do, they do really, really well. So it's going to be a great challenge for our offense."
