Got a question about the Texans?
Life in general?
Drew Dougherty's your guy.
He's been with the Texans since 2009 and is chock full of meaningful, as well as generally useless, information. Fire away by clicking HERE.
Copen Hartley: Dear Drew, What moves could we expect to see during the offseason? And what is the situation with our o-line going to look like?
DD: I'll combine your two questions into one answer: I believe you'll see the Texans add competition on the offensive line via free agency AND the NFL Draft.
With moves made in legal tampering and beyond, Executive Vice President/General Manager Nick Caserio has been active over the last week in regards to adding help across the offense, defense and special teams.
You'll likely see some more moves over the next couple weeks with some names coming here to add help up front on offense.
I also think the Texans will draft an offensive lineman. Maybe even with their first pick.
***Congrats Copen, your question just won you Texas Lottery Scratchoffs. Someone from the organization will soon be in contact with you about it.***
Mike Barclay: Dear Drew, What's the status of Tank Dell?
DD: When he was asked about Dell at the Combine, Texans Head Coach DeMeco Ryans said the young receiver is still going through the process of "recovering and healing" and staying optimistic.
"He's in great spirits," Ryans said. "That's the main thing about Tank. He's got a smile on his face while he's going through the rehab process. So, he's headed there. In due time, he'll be back."
Randall Ackley: Dear Drew, Could we benefit from having a 2-back backfield to keep defenses guessing?
DD: While I doubt you'll see that as a regular formation, I suppose from time-to-time Houston could line up with a pair of running backs in the backfield. It's far less common than it used to be, but sure, that's something that new Offensive Coordinator Nick Caley could possibly roll out every once in awhile. We've seen crazier things.
Greg Colemun: Dear Drew, What game is Battle Red Day on this season?
DD: Greg, we'll know that shortly after the schedule gets released in mid-May. We know who and where the Texans are playing next season, but we don't know the dates and times. Last year, Houston wore the Battle Red unis in November against the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football. Here are the opponents for 2025.
