Texans Care for Texans presented by Kroger
2020 was a tough year.
The Texans wanted to bring a little Thanksgiving pick-me-up to fans across the Houston area by launching a special campaign: Texans Care for Texans presented by Kroger.
The goal of this campaign was to feed over 500,000 families for Thanksgiving through the help of the Houston Food Bank. Many families have been facing food insecurity during these challenging times, making this year's campaign that much more imperative to the city of Houston's wellbeing.
Each dollar donated amounted to three meals for fellow Houstonians.
Reliant, Chevron, Amegy Bank and the Houston Area Ford Dealers chipped in at the highest donation levels, while fellow Houstonians throughout the city donated generously as well.
Texans fans, partners and community members helped surpass the organization's goal to feed over half a million families! On December 27th, representatives from Houston Texans Foundation and Kroger were thrilled to present the Houston Food Bank a check for $176,000.
